Sirius Sirius Real Estate

At Sirius, we are committed to continually support the growth and development of our people. This also ensures that we set our business up with a strong workforce for the future.

We therefore recently launched the Manager Circle—an innovative series of sessions designed to enhance management and leadership skills in our team. Focused on building consistent, high-impact leadership, the programme aims to transform managerial practices by prioritising knowledge sharing, peer learning, and practical skill development.

What is the Manager Circle?

The initial focus of the Manager Circle will be to roll-out a 10-step programme that spans eight sessions. These sessions are designed to empower people by defining key concepts of management and leadership, stressing the importance of managing people, property, and performance in order to achieve success. Central to this initiative is the aspiration to encourage managers to think beyond their current scope, look for new possibilities, and inspire their teams to achieve higher levels of success.

The 10-step programme measures manager progress and development amongst such things as the employee lifecycle, including attraction and speed to hire. Through various tools and assessments, including 360-degree feedback and the Gallup Strengths Finder, managers also have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into their own strengths as well as areas for improvement.

One of the core philosophies we have for the Manager Circle is to shift the traditional management approach from a “parent-child” dynamic to an “adult-adult” dynamic. This evolution will ensure that we are building an environment of respect, open communication, and collaboration, where managers and their teams engage and make decisions based on facts rather than assumptions or narratives.

The rationale for the Manager Circle

The driving force behind this programme is the need for a consistent and unified approach to management development. By establishing common standards and language around management practices, we’re aiming to unlock higher levels of performance through effective people and property management.

Starting with participants across Germany and the UK, the goal is for every manager to take part, ensuring a consistent approach that fosters growth, reduces inefficiencies, and enhances team dynamics. By investing in the development of our leaders, we believe we will be able to raise the bar on what it means to be a manager and drive long-term success for Sirius and increase our levels of employee engagement.

The Manager Circle represents a step towards further refining management at Sirius. With its structured approach, emphasis on real-world application, and commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, the programme is set to make a lasting impact on how managers lead. As the journey continues, the Manager Circle will serve as a catalyst for growth and unlocking potential in our leadership teams.
